Rowan Vine has been at plenty of clubs in his career but appears to have finally settled at Loftus Road.

Vine was often sent out on loan whilst at Portsmouth and he enjoyed successful spells at Brentford and Colchester during the early part of his career. A move to Luton saw him become very popular before the big chance came for him and a £2.5million move to Birmingham in 2007. The move fell flat though with Vine rarely given a chance and he found himself on loan again, this time at QPR in October 2007.

Vine made his loan debut at Colchester and scored in a 4-2 defeat. He performed well though and quickly became a fans favourite.

Vine is so comfortable with the ball at his feet and runs at defenders from deep making it very hard for anyone to get the ball off him. His close control is fantastic and he is one of the most creative players we've had at QPR for some time.

His loan move was extended until January before Birmingham finally agreed to sell and he joined QPR in January for a fee thought to be around £1million. Vine's impressive form continued and he scored a fantastic goal against Barnsley to win the January goal of the month.

Vine can play on the left wing or as a striker and he has looked an equal threat in both positions. His seven goals have all been vital and he has played a massive part in the team staying up.

Sadly his season ended on a sour note as be broke his leg in training whichruled him out for a year.

He made his return in the home match against Crystal Palace a year to the day since he broke his leg. He will be looking for an injury free season in 2009/10
