25. Luke Townsend
Luke Townsend is another player to come through the QPR youth set up in recent
years. Townsend is a striker who can also play out wide.
He broke
into the reserves last season scoring three goals along the way. He found himself
on the bench for the FA Cup tire with Nottingham Forest but his future looked
bleak when he along with several other youngsters were told they would be released
at the end of the season. Townsend was kept by QPR to try and
find a new club but an injury crisis saw Luke pushed into the first team. He made
his debut at Burnley and impressed enough to get another chance at Wigan. Townsend
again did well and Ian Holloway had a change of heart offering him another chance
at Loftus Road.
