37. Jimmy Smith

Jimmy Smith joined QPR on an initial three month loan spell from Chelsea which has been extended until the end of the season.

Smith came to Loftus Road as a highly regarded midfield similar in many ways to Frank Lampard and he certainly lived up to that billing early on. Smith scored on his full debut against Norwich City and followed that up with a brilliant goal against Derby a few days later. His goal scoring continued and they were usually spectacular as he scored two against Palace and his fifth goal of the season against Luton.

Smith looked a different class going forward but has since struggled to impose himself in games and has come in for a little criticism for his performances. He is still a very talented youngster though and looks to have a big future ahead of him.
