Wayne Routledge joined QPR in January 2009 for a fee of around £500,000 from Aston Villa. Routlegde began his career at Crystal Palace where his skill and pace on the wings helped them to promotion in 2004 and earned him a multi million move to Tottenham. Things didn't work out for Routledge at Spurs and he spent more time on loan to other clubs than playing for Spurs in his three year spell. He impressed during his loan spells at Portsmouth and Fulham before making the move to Aston Villa in 2008. he struggled to get into the Aston Villa side and after a loan spell at Cardiff he made the move to Loftus Road. He made his QPR debut in the 1-1 draw with Coventry and soon got off the mark scoring his first goal in the win over Derby a week later. His skill and pace down the right wing has added an extra dimension to the Rangers attack and he already looks a very good signing.
