Notts Forest 1

QPR 1

I.Wright K.Ready

  J.Darlington Sent off

Rangers, with Stuart Wardley in midfield and Jermaine Darlington on the right, looked comfortable up until Wright’s goal. Langley turned Palmer on the edge of the box and fired wide, before Wardley’s header from Baraclough’s cross brought a save from Crossley.

But it was the home side who opening the scoring, when Wright collected Scimeca’s pass and placed the ball beyond Miklosko. Things went from bad to worse and then almost to disastrous for Rangers on the stroke of half-time, when a goalmouth scramble ended with Jermaine Darlington handling on the line and being dismissed. Wright seemed to have doubled Forest’s lead from the resulting penalty, but the ball struck the post with Miklosko stranded.

Rangers responded well though and Gallen and Wardley both went close before Karl Ready leveled the scores.

Rangers had chances to win as did Forest but a draw was a fair result
