QPR 3

Huddersfield 1

J.Darlington C.Whinhard
C.Kiwomya
G.Peacock

A great start to the season for QPR as the dawn of a new era began at Loftus Road.

Due to a holiday in Spain I didn't go to the match, whilst the rest of the QPR supporters were glued to a radio, the Internet or cheering the lads on in person, I was walking around Barcelona in 100 degree heat wondering how many we would lose by.

Wearing my QPR shirt in this area brought bemused looks from the locals apart from one Burnley fan who took great delight in telling me how shit QPR were, I was to amazed by the Nou Camp stadium to care what he was saying. I had to wait until Sunday to read the result and the trepanation turned to joy as QPR had won 3-1.

I saw the goals in the Alcatraz pub. Darlington opened the scoring with a long range effort before Rob Steiner set up Chris Kiwomya for a simple tap in. Huddersfield got back in the game with a well taken goal by Clyde Whinhard before good work by Kiwomya ended with Gavin Peacock heading home the winner.

Three good points and Rangers are joint top of the division.
