Wolves 1

QPR 2

  M.Sheron (2)

After One year and one week the away jinx finally ended with a win at Wolves.

With Harford gone and Dowie in temporary command QPR produced their best performance of the season. Dowie made some important changes to the side, recalling Morrow, Rose and Sheron and playing a very passing game.

I didn't go to the game (doh!) and couldn't see us getting a result so after watching Eastenders I checked ceefax to see that we were 2-0 up after 15mins. This can't be I thought. I called to my Dad, "Dad, it's 2-0 already", "Jesus it gets worse" was his reply until I told him we were winning. "Oh well, plenty of time for it all to go wrong" was his verdict on the score-line.

I listened to the rest of the match on Capital and felt as if I kicked every ball and ran every lost cause with out new heroes. Gallen and Sheron were outstanding, as was Peacock.

The commentators couldn't believe the way we were playing and said we should have been further in front. Then disaster struck. My girlfriend phoned as Wolves got a corner, I lost concentration and it was 2-1. The abuse she got was as unfair as the treatment of QPR fans at Swindon but she understood and hung up quickly.

Luckily it didn't cost us and we got our first win for over a year away from Loftus Road and my girlfriend is still speaking to me.
