A
big win for Rangers helped ease fears of relegation although the
battle has still to be won. Rangers made a few changes to the team
that lost on Monday. Andy Linighan, Kevin Gallen and Jermaine Darlington
all started with Baraclough, Jeanne and Morrow dropped.
A dull first
half was brought alive when Rangers fell behind right on half time.
A Richard Sneakes free kick was placed home by winger Kevin Kilblane
to send Rangers to despair.
Rangers levelled
quickly though. Paul Murrays free kick was headed home by Karl Ready.
West Brom looked the better side in the second half as Kilblane
threatened to run riot against Breacker but Rangers fought back.
Murray, Darlington
and Gallen were replaced by Baraclough, Rowland and Slade before
good work by Kiwomya set up Gavin Peacock to hit the winner with
three minutes left.
A great double
save by Miklosko helped Rangers hold on as West Brom threw everything
at us as the last three mins seemed to take forever, but Rangers
hung on to stay five points clear of relegation with six matches
left.
Man of the
Match: Gavin Peacock
