"Gerry's
Coming Home" was the chant sung from the away end and that was the
most excitement we saw all afternoon. This was a terrible performance
showing a lack of passion and commitment, which we are used, to
seeing.
We started quite
well with Sheron going close but as soon as Huddersfield took the
lead the game was over. I sat in the freezing cold away end with
the other 900 or so fans bored trying to motivate ourselves with
the hope that the second half would be better.....It wasn't.
Ben Thornley
scored a brilliant second and our team in Brazilian Yellow looked
like the Brazilian team of the World Cup Final. We were that bad.
Gerry would
have learned a lot from this and knows his job starts from here.
The only bright spot was seeing John Spencer in the away end with
his son, we could do with him goals at the moment.
Man of the
Match: Steve Slade
