Rangers started
with a 4-4-2 and recalled Rowland, Heinola, Jeanne and Slade in
place of Darlington, Kulscar, Gallen and Murray.
Heinola was
on the receiving end of a terrible tackle which ended his night
after ten minutes to be replaced by Murray. Rangers dominated a
waterlogged pitch with Jeanne looking lively and Slade showing some
potential.
Rangers created
a few chances with Baraclough having a curling shot saved and Peacock
put his chance wide.
The second half
became more even but the game was heading for a point when with
five minutes left another poor referee decision saw a free kick
given for nothing and as Slade failed to clear the substitute headed
home unmarked from about ten yards.
A bad result
but improved performance which must be turned into points soon.
Man of the
Match: Steve Slade
