Ranger's final game of a successful tour of Italy proved to be our toughest test of pre season so far and ended with another win for the R's.

Ravenna have been yo-yoing between Serie B and C in recent years so Neil Warnock selected a strong side. Peter Ramage began at right back alongside Hill, Hall and Connolly in front of goalkeeper Paddy Kenny. Leigterwood, Faurlin and a more central Ephraim made up the midfield with Helguson, Clarke and Mackie up front.

Rangers fell behind Piovaccari gave the home side the lead but Rangers fought back and equalised through Hogan Ephraim. The chances kept coming for Rangers with Ephraim, Helguson and Mackie all going close and Rangers needed to wait until the second half to seal the win. Jamie Mackie got the winner with a stunning lob from 30 yards out.

Afterwards Neil Warnock told the club's official website: "It's another step up the ladder as we prepare for the first day of the season. We created a hatful of chances and although we didn't take as many as I'd have liked, the fact we're making them is a positive. I still want to bring one or two strikers in before the start of the season and if we can do that I'll be happy. It's a great way to end what has been the best pre-season tour I have ever been involved in. The hotel, the people, the football - it's just been magnificent."
