Rangers pre season tour of Cornwall continued with another easy win against part time opposition. This time it was Bodmin FC who faced a strong QPR side and Warnock’s men ran out six goal winners.
Fresh from signing a new contract Matthew Connolly started the game at left back whilst Hogan Ephraim started on the right in a three man attack with Clarke and Mackie.
Rangers took an early lead as Hogan Ephraim converted from close range after just four minutes. Shaun Derry went close to adding a second before Jamie Mackie made it 2-0 after twelve minutes.
The goals continued to flow in the second half as the home side began to tire and Warnock made some changes. Damion Stewart made his first appearance since fracturing his skull in April whilst youngsters Josh Parker and Antonio German were given a chance and looked impressive.
QPR grabbed a third goal on the hour mark when Ephraim did well on the right and his cross was knocked in for an own goal. Antonio German made it 4-0 from close range before an excellent solo effort from Josh Parker to make it 5-0.
Hogan Ephraim completed the scoring to make it four goals in two games for him and saw him linked with a move to Leicester the following day, a move which has been rubbished by Neil Warnock.
