It's Christmas so it must mean a new
manager at QPR. I had hoped for a Play station 3 for Christmas but
instead got Paul Hart and a chest infection which meant the new
mans first game in charge was played out whilst I lay in bed coughing
my guts up.
Hart kept things the same for the visit
of Sheffield United with Simpson continuing out wide and 13,000
QPR fans screaming he's a centre forward. Not a great start for
the new man who seems to be a very easy scapegoat for all the problems
at QPR.
Hart got off to a dream start when Leigterwood
smashed in a shot from a Watson corner and the ball was deflected
past the keeper to give us a second minute lead. All the players
joined in the celebrations in a show of unity and team spirit which
is sadly lacking all too often when it's needed.
Sheffield United hit back pretty quickly
after poor play by Watson saw him blindly pass into his own box
to a United player and the ball across saw Cresswell tap in from
close range.
The rest of the game proved to be a
dull affair with Sheffield United battling for everything but seeming
happy with a point despite having a great chance to win it when
Ward shot wide before half time.
Rangers huffed and puffed but couldn't
find a way through as Agyemang and Simpson had half chances before
Watson's header hit the bar during injury time.
A frustrating draw then at QPR as another
new manager quickly realises the team is not quite as good as it
looked on paper.
