I seem to be seeing less games than a Cockney Man Utd fan at the moment and due to a mates wedding I missed this one and will also miss the boxing day game as I am away for Christmas. Anyway enough about me what about the game.

Well Rangers started the game making some changes to the team. Bean Askar dropped to the bench with an injury so Marcus Bignot came into midfield allowing Matthew Rose to drop into defence. It didn't take long for Rangers to take the lead with a new weapon being added to our attacking arsenal.

For so long we haven't looked at all dangerous from corners but with Danny Murphy now adding some quality on the left he provided a perfect cross for Andy Thomson to head in number 16 of a wonderful season so far for our leading scorer. Murphy has added the quality we need from corners and that's the second goal in a week we have scored from a Danny Murphy set piece.

Bournemouth were no mugs though and had loads of chances throughout the game with Fraser Digby in stunning form we held out and the woodwork was also struck several times during the afternoon. Rangers held on though and looked dangerous going forward with Doudou and Gallen providing several options but the score remained at 1-0 until the second half.

We extended the lead when Kevin Gallen was put through and he turned past his man only to be brought down for a penalty. Andy Thomson was his usual self from the spot sending the keeper the wrong way.

We looked comfortable and were heading for an easy win when Danny Murphy received his marching orders. An excellent two footed tackle saw him win the ball fairly but a free kick was given. The referee didn't appear ready to flash a card until Murhpy blocked the quick free kick and suddenly a second yellow was shown and Murphy was off. This woke Bournemouth up who piled on the pressure and were unlucky not to grab a point in the end.

Carl Flecther (I thought he was in prison for killing Presh) pulled one back with a minute to go before Fraser Digby pulled off a superb save to send us home with the three points.
