I'll count myself as the luckiest QPR supporter around today because
due to a train driver at Hammersmith (just drove off whilst about
ten people were walking up to the train) we missed the train at
Kings Cross and ended up in Luton at about 20 past three.
We got to the ground to see no seats
available so stood at the back until the police got me and my
Dad to move down to a seat. Due to this I can't comment on the
first 20 minutes or so but the rest of the half was the most depressing
and horrible sight I have seen since Oxford away two years ago.
Luton looked very poor but we were
a laughable excuse for a football team. People slag off Wardley
but why the hell was Kulscar in the side he did nothing and as
for Morrow I have never given one player so much stick before
he made Gus Ceaser look like Paulo Maldini.
Rangers did have some chances with
Crouch going close with two headers but Luton were always on top
and out classed us in midfield. Kurt Nogan should have scored
when put through but Miklosko saved and from the resulting corner
Fotiadis headers in as Morrow seemed to be doing a great marking
job on Chris Plummer.
We were a total shambles and a
second goal was soon to follow. Another corner and this time Liam
George put his chance away and the 2,000 traveling fans turned
on the team and some on the manager. This was awful to watch and
a Koejoe shot just before half time did nothing to halt the boos
which greeted the team as they walked off at half time. Absolute
Rubbish from QPR and we should have been further behind.
Second half we went 4-3-3 with Wardley
and Peacock coming on for Kulscar and Morrow. At last we had Wardley
and Connolly running onto Crouch and Koejoes flick ons and looked
very dangerous.
Crouch got a well taken goal as
he found himself clean through and slotted his shot past the keeper.
It was all Rangers now and we upped the tempo and threw everything
at them. Another goal came after good work by Connolly saw Crouch
head in to send the away end into chaos and the relief was unbelievable
as we were only drawing with Luton.
After
that the game was all ours for the taking but we sat back and
Luton looked dangerous again. Stuart Douglas came on and the bloke
behind me said he'd score and he did. From an acute angle he shot
and Carlisle seemed to get a touch as the ball rolled over the
line.
Koejoe then missed a sitter from
close range before Connolly almost scored an excellent goal but
his shit was cleared off the line Game Over but we keep going
and despite playing some terrible football we launched a free
kick into the box and a Luton defender hit a great volley just
wide god knows what he was thinking. From the corner Kurt Nogan
rose to head clear any danger as the QPR players all stood at
the far post. Well that's what should have happened but for some
bizarre reason Nogan just punched the ball away and a penalty
was given.
I had a horrible feeling we'd miss
but Peacock held his nerve and we got the draw. All in all Gerry
saved his job with his half time team talk but we must play for
90 minutes not just 45 minutes if we are to stay up. The team
still lacks imagination and our next three home games against
the top three in the league look like bringing no points if this
form continues.
A draw against Luton is a terrible
result and the fact that Gerry has come out with his reputation
not only still intact but enhanced is a travesty.

PLAYERS RATINGS
1. Ludo : Did OK made a few saves
and not much chance with the goals (although I had a bad view
of all three so I may be wrong) 6/10
22. Darlo : useless, never got forward
to produce a cross and defended poorly. 5/10
3. Bara : was given no support
going forward but did whip in some excellent long balls for Crouch
and if we are going to play long ball then at least Bara can add
some accuracy to that. 6/10
18. Carlisle : Did OK but struggled
against Douglas 6/10
17. Plummer : Another who did OK
6/10
4. Morrow : F**K OFF YOU USELESS
T**T (sorry for the language but my blood is boiling after that
shit he served up today) 1/10
21. Langley : Had to play far to
deep second half and can do a lot better 6/10
15. Kulscar : See Morrow but not
as angry with him as Francis shouldn't have picked him. 4/10
10. Connolly : Did well second half
and was unlucky not to score. 7/10
28. Crouch : Caused problems all
game and took his goals well. 9/10
31. Koejoe : held the ball up well
and linked play with midfield but he never looks like scoring
and missed a sitter at 2-3. 7/10
Subs
8. Peacock : Good to see him back
again but I thought he was a bit quiet but full credit for him
for playing when unfit again 6/10
27. Wardley : Ran his arse off and
should have started. 6/10
