On Loan at Blackpool

Zesh Rehmann joined QPR from West London neighbours Fulham in August 2006 for an initial fee of around £200,000.

Rehmann was signed as a replacement for Danny Shittu and took on his number five shirt when he joined. Rehmann came through the youth set up at Fulham and gained experience of the Championship during a loan spell with Norwich last season.

He made his QPR debut against Southend and looked impressive during a 2-0 victory. Rehmann is comfortable on the ball and brings the ball out from the back and always looks for a pass rather than a long ball which is good to see but is also sometimes a problem when he is put under pressure and loses possession.

After a bright start Rehmann has suffered a bit of criticism in recent months after some less than impressive performances. Rehmann has looked at his best at full back where he has a little more time on the ball and seems able to read the game better from that position.

Perhaps the low point of his season came in the FA Cup defeat against Luton. To be fair to Zesh he had played reasonably well that night before scoring one of the most incredible own goals I've ever seen to gift Luton a win. I think from that moment on his QPR career looked as good as over.

Under new manager Gi Gi De Canio though he did return to the team in December and showed a big improvement with somd solid displays which saw him become a little unlucky to be dropped when the new signings arrived.

He is currently on loan at Blackpool with a view to joining them in January.
