Fitz Hall joined QPR from Wigan in January
2008 for a fee thought to be around £1 million
Hall is an experienced central defender
who has played in the Premiership for the last few years. He made
his name at Oldham where he looked a very good defender. QPR fans
will remember him from the Playoff semi final in 2003. Hall was
the man brushed aside by Paul Furlong as the Rangers striker scored
the winning goal. It was a night Hall probably wants to forget as
he was denied an equaliser in the last minute by an incredible Chris
Day save.
Hall ended up getting a move to Southampton
where he struggled to win a first team place. He had more luck at
Crystal Palace as he had a decent season as Palace were relegated
on the final day of the premiership season. He had done enough to
impress that season though and made the move to Wigan where he played
his part in the clubs staying in the premiership.
He came to QPR in January 2008 and made
his debut in the FA Cup against Chelsea. Hall has look a composed
figure in the QPR defence and has been a regular as the club climbed
the table away from relegation trouble.
The following season he started well
scoring twice on the opening day of the season and was denied a
hat trick when he missed a second half penalty. He was been in and
out of the side last season with injuries but remains a key member
of the first team squad and was named team captain in August 2010.
Hall is also the man behind the A star
goal celebration which is often seen in the premiership. For details
