Kaspar Gorkks joined QPR from Blackpool for a fee of £250,000 in the summer of 2008. Gorkks missed out on pre season due to injury and his transfer to QPR dragging until the last moment so his lack of match practice saw him struggle at the start of the season. A poor performance at Sheffield United saw Gorkks dropped and he struggled to win his place back under Iain Dowie. He performed well as a sub at Norwich but was soon out of the side again until Paulo Sousa took over in November and gave him a rare start against Charlton.
