Hogan Ephraim came through the youth
team ranks at West Ham bit got most of his first team football on
loan at Colchester where he helped the Essex side to the highest
league positon in the clubs history in 2007.
Ephraim opted to move to QPR on loan
in August 2007 and made his debut up front as a substitute in the
2-2 draw with Bristol City. Ephraim was used mainly as a winger
in his loan spell at the club playing on both the left and the right
wing.
He scored his first goal for the club
against Colchester in October. Ephraim was impressing the fans with
his non stop work rate and his ability on the ball. His best performance
came in the last gameof his loan spell where he scored an excellent
indiovidual goal against Hull City.
he went bsack to West Ham where his
first team chances were limited although eh did make the first team
squad for the game against Derby. In January 2008 Ephraim signed
a three year contract at QPR in a deal said to worth £800,000.
Ephraim has spent most of his time on
the left wing and if he can work on his final ball into the box
he has the ability to be an excellent player for QPR. Under Paulo
Sousa Ephraim moved to be more of a central midfield player and
he has shown great versatility in the role and is a big asset to
have in the squad.
