Gary Borrowdale joined QPR for an undisclosed fee through top be around £400,000 in January 2009. Borrowdale is a left back who started his career at Crystal Palace before enjoying a good spell at Coventry until losing his place earlier this season. His signing is seen as a strange one as the left back joined on loan in November 2008 but did not feature once under Paulo Sousa but a clause in his loan deal meant QPR had to buy the player in January and he signed without kicking a ball for QPR. He has been linked with a move away from QPR on loan to Southend which leaves more questions and than answers about the clubs transfer policy rather than Gary Borrowdale's ability.
