Matteo Alberti was signed in 2008 and introduced by Gianni Paladini to fans at the end of season player of the year evening.
Paladini claimed to fans that night that Alberti would "score 40 goals a season for Rangers". Sadly those bold predictions never quite came true and the wide player struggled to adapt to the pace of English football.
He did score two decent goals up at Nottingham Forest but failed to impress several managers and has spent the last two seasons out on loan in Italy and is unlikely to play for QPR again.
